Unlike in the olden days, it is not uncommon anymore for
a person to have and use more than one PC/laptop at a time. This could
potentially increase work productivity for the fact that more than one work can
be done simultaneously.
This however, can save you some money from having to
buy many peripherals and cables for each of your computers.
Mouse without Borders lets you control up to 4 PCs
using a single keyboard and mouse.
You can control two completely different computers or
laptops just by using one mouse. You can also use one keyboard to type on
either one of these separate computers. You can copy and paste content between
the computers and even drag and drop files between these computers.
Alright so how
do we do these wonderful tricks? Well let’s get into it. The tool we are going
to use is called magic mouse. Magic mouse, that's the name of the product or at
least the original name but it’s now referred to as mouse without borders. So
let’s get right into it.
Mouse without borders is an official Microsoft app
that was launched some time ago and it is exceedingly wonderful.
For the first step, you will need to download and install mouse without borders on every single pc where you want this to work and you'll need at least two windows-based PCs and you can install it on up to four PCs.

Download mouse without borders
Once you finish installing the
app you'll see the getting started guide on your main computer.
Click on no and
this will generate a new security key and also show you your computer name.
Note your computer name that it shows you.
Next step: go
on to your second PC, install the app and then here too you'll see the getting
started guide. This time click on yes
and now you can enter in the security code from your first PC.
Once you enter in your security code it'll connect the
two computers together. Once they're connected you can now click on done and
you'll see the main app interface.
Once you’re
done with this step, you can now move your mouse between these two different
computers. You can open Word on one
computer then move the mouse over and click into Word on the other computer and
can type for each computer using just the same one keyboard.
You could also copy text from Word and you could paste
that into the Word on your other computer. You could also drag and drop a file
from one computer over to the other computer and you can do this with files up
to 100 megabytes in size.
Within the main
app interface you can position the monitors where you want them to appear and
this will affect how you get the mouse from one monitor over to another
monitor. You can set this up with up to four separate computers using just one
keyboard or mouse.
App interface. You can configure more settings suited for you here.
Click on the options tab and here you'll see a bunch
of different options that you can configure for yourself. There is no need for me to explain what those
option tools work because if you hover over any one of them you'll see a tool
tip that explains what this option does.
Alright, that’s pretty cool for this to work well,
you'll have to make sure that you have a relatively fast internet connection
for all of your different computers otherwise you might get some stuttering or
some lag.
Alright, leave your comments below if you don’t
understand any part of it and we would be glad to help if we can.
