With
this security layer, users will be able to know who is screenshotting their
conversations.
WhatsApp is going to introduce a new feature that will
increase security, as they add a third check - or blue check mark that will be
in addition to the two existing check marks.
At the very moment, if you send a message over WhatsApp, the
first tick indicates that the message is on its way to the recipient of your
message. The second tick is there to show that the other person has received your
message. The first and the second ticks still remains grey at this point.
Once your message has been received and read by the recipient,
the ticks will go from grey to blue.
Having said this, you are able to deactivate this feature,
however, if you find that you do not want people knowing when you have read their
message.
WhatsApp's new feature
Many of us take screenshot either in a group chat or private
conversations for whatever best reasons known to us. But quite interestingly, Infobae
has reported that a third blue check will appear on WhatsApp when a screenshot
is taken of your conversations in a short time to come.
The idea behind this is to prevent cyber threats and raise
users' awareness of the privacy of messages and information that a person
chooses to share on the app.
In case the third blue check is implemented which is not yet
confirmed by WhatsApp, it will warn people that a screenshot has been taken, as
well as issuing a warning about sharing information such as credit cards or
bank details.
